MAKING IN THE MOMENT : SLOW STITCHED KEEPSAKE POUCH : ZOOM : SUNDAY 12th JUNE

Join me on Sunday 12th June on zoom for a slow stitched keepsake pouch workshop as part of my ongoing series of workshops titled Making in the Moment.

9.30-1.30pm

Create a small hand sewn pouch from plain linen and felted wool with the addition of copper or wooden buttons. We will be using very simple stitches to form the pouch, no previous sewing experience or skills are required.

The invitation is to explore the tactile nature of the materials and simple pleasure of creating something with your hands.

My creative practice encourages an explorative way of making and participants are welcome to follow my way of working or experiment with the materials and find their own technique.

Materials can be provided at an additional cost. If required please add materials to your cart from the drop down menu below when booking. Please select the correct option depending on your location (either UK or rest of world) and allow good time for delivery.

Participants are welcome to use their own fabric and buttons to make their piece more personal. I recommend having the following on hand:
A piece of linen or other fabric (not too thick) approx 15 x 22cm
1mm wool felt approx 15 x 22cm
1 x skein of cotton perle (size 5)
4 x buttons approx 1.5cm in diameter
2 pieces of cotton cord approx 30cm each
A matchstick
