The CONTEMPLATIVE BEADS are a collection of five neckpieces formed by hand from materials including oak, paper, paint & inks, sterling silver, black lava and black glass beads and cotton cord. I have a long standing fascination with beads and have been combining mismatched arrangements on cords for years. I enjoy the smallness of each piece and the process of making small things by hand, a contemplation in itself.
Length 97cm including chair and clasp.
Largest bead is 3 x 2cm.
Paper covered solid oak beads, black lava spacer beads, black glass beads, cotton cord, oxidised sterling silver chain and hook/eye clasp. The hook features my hallmark.
Presented in a hand painted and printed organic cotton drawstring pouch.
Care instructions: The beads have a matte varnished and waxed finish and are splash proof. The wooden beads are best worn against clothing as oils from the skin may degrade the surface. When not being worn store in a dry place.
