The native language scarves are a collection of 8 hand painted and block printed maps. The design process is improvised, and evolves over time, combining hand painted marks lines shapes spots dots with my family of much loved lino blocks and rubber stamps to form individual one-off pieces with a colourful and expressive pattern.
The fifth scarf is a map of discernment. Gather your own interpretation, sieve for information between the marks and shapes and let everything which doesn’t resonate with you just fall away.
Wear this scarf when you are challenged by creative indecisions. Take it for a walk and look to it for answers because when we locate ourselves in our creativity we know whats next.

Each scarf is created with lightweight organic voile, cotton thread and printed / painted with non-toxic inks.
Care instructions: machine wash 30 °C, iron on cotton setting.
